Stephanie specializes in Kripalu Yoga because of its emphasis on individual growth over outward perfection. She strongly believes that Yoga practice is much more than an exercise plan. She teaches Kripalu Yoga classes to private clients as well as groups.

Stephanie is passionate about teaching Kripalu Yoga because of its unique emphasis: following the flow of prana (life-force energy), practicing compassionate self-acceptance, developing witness consciousness (observing the activity of the mind without judgment), and taking what is learned “off the mat” and into daily life.

On a physical level, Yoga is designed to keep our spine healthy and our organs healthy.  Yoga is not about making our limbs flexible like gumby.  We can live without our limbs, but not without our spine and organs.

The reason Kripalu Yoga has been embraced by so many people is because it is designed to adapt to all body types, ages, fitness levels, and interests. Kripalu Yoga uses various asanas/poses, pranayama (breathwork), development of a quiet mind, and the practice of relaxation.
